A fearful attempt to tell this story…

Verdict: 2.5 /5

When I saw a swarm of people awaiting for this Sooraj Barjatya’s, Salman Khan Starrer “Prem Ratan Dhan Payo”, it was perfect experience for me to watch a movie in packed theatre. The charm is not only with families but even youngsters were eagerly pushing the barrier to enter. This shows the decade long wait for these duo and where people wants some light hearted family entertainment, just like “Maine Pyar Kiya” when Bollywood was in the row of mere action and stupidity this man Sooraj Barjatya confidently trickles the refreshing love story which had sense of moral responsibility. Nevertheless now we have gem of love this time,it has grandeur, magnificent set, style and a putative kingship…

So does this mega show worth? My prima facie has negative notion just because of its fearful presentation or basically grappling with modern mentality where scattered thoughts are overpowering. Skin show, drugs and abusive languages are the prominent lines in our cinema although those are just a reflections of core networking with the western world. Mr. Director Sooraj Barjatya was in the clad with all such numerical, will this work or not, should I made this way or that way, In this so called Indian new wave cinema, will accept this or not or will they laugh on me… All these questions are the basic premise for this making, more or less little confused, little trembled “Prem Ratan Dhan Payo” is just a concoction of tasteless pint of juice where length is the most tiring issue, it’s an approx. 165 minutes Barjatya show definitely inspired by Mr. Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s splendid displays.

This film is about a Prince who is leading an orthodox life, very systematic, but surrounded by many conspires, one of them is step brother Neil Nitin Mukesh with his accomplice Arman Kohli plans to kill Prince Vijay Singh (Salman Khan) but by the grace of his old henchman somehow manages to save his life but the fortune is still to come, as other Salman Khan(double role) falls in love with the woman (Sonam Kapoor) who runs a charitable organization and wants to have a look of her, in the meantime he got the news that she is coming to the Pritampura Estate and his journey throws him into the mess of Kingship…

A stale story, nothing refreshing about it, just a Salman Khan and family narratives, this is definitely not a style of Sooraj Barjatya and nobody wants to know the unreal portrayal of Indian King, it should have been realistic, just for the shake if story is unable to find the locations can’t be put it in the palace. This doesn’t work at all…

Swara Bhasker made an impact but Sonam Kapoor is just an unbalance tool unable to stand behind Salman Khan, Salman with all his charm, though I must call him Real Superstar of India but he looks fatty in movie. Music is not so good but two songs got some applause in the theatre. Arman Kohli looks dashing, he will definitely get some negative role after this last but not the least Deepak Dobrial again stills the show, and even in very small role Sanjay Mishra was very natural.

Prem Ratan Dhan Payo is not a film you are looking for, this is just a Big Drama with a strewn threads of emotion, morality and family bonding.
