Wazir has no intention to fatigue your inside from stress…

Verdict: 2.5 /10
Vidhu Vinod Chopra must have felt proud when this ‘Wazir’ thought
came into his abstruse mind “Wow what a concept, The chess, The game, The
battle, The moves”. Surprisingly all these opaque ideas turned into a hackneyed
story that even Mr. Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar were unable to save from
debacle. When I saw the trailer of Wazir
for the first time, I was very excited about it, and was expecting that from
the court of Vidhu Chopra, will see the most terrific, intelligent and intense
film, one which may amplify this genre but it was serious disappointment.
Danish (Farhan Akhtar) is a cop whose daughter is killed by
the terrorist who was learning chess from Pandit Omkarnath Dhar (Mr. Amitabh
Bachchan) similarly Pandit Ji’s daughter teaches a politician’s daughter where
she falls to die. So all different sections are basically adjoined by some
hidden cord but some alien cause is coming in their way, which limits the life
of them in sudden way. But beware for having over expectations in your mind
because in any which way you never find any gripping section.
Some major flaws were also setbacks, although Pandit ji’s
attire shown as an intelligent brain but he is no techno-savvy, then how come
he knows the steps of cop who is chasing Wazir. These are unforgivable elements
from Chopra’s camp.
But I must say Mr. Bachchan is at his best, as usual again his
dialogue delivery drawn me to enjoy his
moments, Farhan Akhtar as a disturbed cop looks almost natural and tense, Aditi
Rao Hydari surprised me even if she doesn’t have much to do.
So its definitely not a type of film, which I am looking
for, go for Mr. Bachchan, only he will not let you down for sure.
